As the the temperature rises throughout this summer, how will your spiritual life respond? I know that the weather outside has little to nothing to do with our spiritual lives, however in a recent youth group devotion, a summer temperature challenge was put forth.
Today is June 3rd ... what is your present spiritual temperature on a scale of 1 to 10?
On September 3rd ... what would you like your spiritual temperature to be?
What are some ways that we as a virtual community can build each other up and along the way help draw each of us closer to Jesus?
Over the next several weeks we are going to hopefully begin a dialogue about how over this summer we all can grow closer to God and raise our spiritual temperature.
Please share your suggestions ....
I WILL GO FIRST:
Join a House Church: This is one of the best ways to better understand what God is doing in our Church and in each of our individual lives. If you have any questions, please let me know

Gee Wiz P.B. this is a hard one! HaHa!! I'll give it my best shot. Besides house church I think we need to do more activities in groups(bigger then house church groups) With these groups we could do something good for someone or for a group of other people. Or we can go some where and just goof off!! For some maybe church is the only time we can be around other Christians so this would be a good time for each other to get to know one another better and build a close bond. Here is my first idea on what we could do: Sign up for the Cancer Walk on June 21st!! We will have plenty of time to have fun, exercise, and most of important raise money for a good cause! You can thank me later Jenny Brown..LOL. I'm just trying to help you out..
First I'd like to say, thanks for the Relay for Life shout out Jason! Back to raising our spiritual temperatures, I personally agree with the idea that community service is a great way to build some solid Christian unity. Events like Relay for Life where everyone comes together for a common goal and achieves it really draws everyone closer.
Being in an environment where everyone can share their spiritual thoughts freely and comfortably is really key. A lot of times people are too shy and afraid to voice their opinions about their religion, but I think that's really important when it comes to getting closer to God. We need to get everyone comfortable with their own voice to really get the ball rolling.
yay, im so glad I remembered this.
